Booking a customer in by phone

There's no "new job" button in the app. Instead you use your company's booking site while you're signed in.

    Making the booking

    1. 1

Tap Booking Site → (in More on a phone, at the top on a computer)

    2. 2

Book as the customer would: postcode, service, time and their details

    3. 3

If a button looks faded, tap it anyway

Continue to Your Details and Secure Booking look faded until everything is filled in, but they still work. Tapping one tells you what is missing and takes you to it.

      • If your company records vehicle details: Gearbox (manual or automatic) is the first vehicle field and is required.
      • If your company records vehicle details: If the vehicle boxes are folded away, enter the registration and tap Find my car.
      • If your company records vehicle details: Services that do not suit the car's fuel or gearbox are hidden once the car is known. Tap Can't see what you need? Show all services to see them.
    4. 4

At the terms step you'll see Phone booking - tap Continue

The customer agrees to the terms from the link we email them, so there's nothing for you to tick.

    5. 5

On the card step, choose one of the staff options

Never type the customer's card details in for them.

      • Hold the slot and send the customer a card link - they get an email and text to add their card and agree the terms. The slot is held for 24 hours (1 hour if the job is within a day), with reminders, then released if no card is added.
      • Not taking a card - switch it on for a customer who has no card, choose the reason (and add a note if you like), then tap Book without a card. They pay by link or cash later, and the reason shows on the job.

    While it's held

The job shows Pending with "Phone booking. Held for the customer's card until…". Tell the customer to check their email. You can resend the link from the job with Send the card link again.
