How your pay is worked out

What you earn on a job

Your pay for a job = your cut for the service + your cut for any add-ons and extras + any approved travel charge.

    • Your company sets your cut for each service - you see it as You earn £… on Profile › Services & business.
    • Discount codes and offers reduce the customer's price, not your cut.
    • The pay for a job is fixed when the job is completed.
    • Engineers employed by your company earn £0 per job - they're paid separately. Any cash they collect is still tracked.

    Example: a card job

Service £250, your cut £60. The customer pays by card. Waiting to be paid shows +£60.

    Example: a cash job

Same job, but the customer pays you £250 in cash. You earned £60 but you're holding £250 of your company's money, so the job shows −£190. When you hand the £250 back, your company records it and your balance goes up by £250.

    Example: extras and a discount

    Service £279 (your cut £125) + add-on £50 (your cut £20) + travel £25, with a £20 discount code. The customer pays £334. Your cut is £125 + £20 + £25 = £170 - the discount doesn't change it.

    Getting paid

    • Your company pays you from their own bank account. The app keeps the record.
    • Each payout covers your whole balance and every job waiting to be paid.
    • You get a payment statement by email and under Earnings › Payouts. The bank transfer reference (such as GMAS1001) is printed on the statement, so you can match the two.
    • If anything looks wrong, tell your company within 7 days.
